The Boston Celtics made the deal to sign guard Jason Terry official on Wednesday, July 18 using their entire $5 million mid-level exception due to the fact a sign-and-trade deal could not be worked out with the Dallas Mavericks. The Celtics and Terry agreed to a three-year deal worth 15.6 million.
