The Grizzlies have declined to issue the qualifying offer to O.J. Mayo and Lester Hudson, but have done so with Marreese Speights and Darrell Arthur, according to a report from the Commercial Appeal.
Mayo’s qualifying offer would have been worth $7.39 million and will now become an unrestricted free agent.
Moke’s guy, who I like a lot too. Definitely going to be interesting to see what other names pop up. Mayo played a bench role and will have modest market value. He told Donnie Walsh during his Knicks workout, I’m told, how much he wanted to be a Knick.
To me, his production and value makes perfect sense for the full MLE.
