Nov 30 (Reuters) – The Toronto Raptors have signed French free-agent swingman Mickael Pietrus, the National Basketball Association team said on Friday. The Atlantic Division team waived forward Dominic McGuire to make room for 30-year-old Pietrus, who averaged 6.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 42 games last season for the Boston Celtics. Selected with the 11th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 2003 NBA Draft, Pietrus spent five seasons with the Warriors before splitting his last four years between Orlando, Phoenix and Boston. …

(Reuters) – Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph has been fined $25,000 for “confronting” Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kendrick Perkins following their ejections from a game last week, the National Basketball Association said on Monday. The players were hit with technical fouls and ejected last Wednesday after a verbal altercation with 2:05 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Grizzlies’ 107-97 win in Oklahoma City. Former All-Star Randolph, who had 20 points and 11 rebounds in the game, then challenged Perkins near the locker room, the NBA said. …
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash will be sidelined for “at least another week” because of a small fracture in his left leg, the National Basketball Association team said on Friday. The twice former Most Valuable Player has missed seven games, including Friday’s 114-102 win over his former team the Phoenix Suns, since suffering the injury against the Portland Trail Blazers on October 31. The 38-year-old Nash was examined by a Lakers team doctor earlier on Friday and will be re-evaluated next weekend, the Lakers said in a statement. …
