Begrudgingly, you have to bestow some credit on Lebron James and Chris Bosh for sacrificing some dollars to accomplish their goal, albeit a morally bereft one – congregating as much talent on one team to make it nearly impossible for anyone else to compete over the next decade or so.

Lebron James is a world champion and allegedly has another child that he will be celebrating this accomplishment with.
It has been reported by numerous news outlets that LBJ has an alleged love child with ex-Cleveland news anchor Sharon Reed. Sharon was a former employee of  WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland but parted ways with the company when her contract expired early in 2012. Rumors began to swirl that Reed’s contract was not renewed with the network because of possible moral clause violations due to her “inappropriate relationship” with Lebron. If this story does turn out to be true, it will make things interesting in Miami for Lebron and Savannah.
Here are some pictures of Sharon Reed:

According to Marc Stein and Chris Broussard of ESPN, the Brooklyn Nets have officially agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Hawks for shooting guard Joe Johnson.

This deal will most likely convince Deron Williams to re-sign with Brooklyn, and the Brooklyn Nets will now not have the cap space or assets to pull off a trade for Dwight Howard

Stein and Broussard report that one source stated, “They didn’t want to dance with us. Dwight blew it in March (when he opted in to the final year of his current Magic contract).”

Howard had received a lot of criticism over the last year for the circus that he put Orlando through in terms of what he truly desired. Although it does seem that Howard was attempting to avoid a situation similar to Lebron James’ decision if he chose to leave the Orlando Magic, he failed in an epic manner and has become one of the more disliked players in the league.

Howard even told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports that he would only re-sign with the Brooklyn Nets and would refuse to sign an extension with any other team. It appears that Howard was a little too late in making this demand, as the Nets have moved on from the dream of acquiring arguably the best center in the league. Many thought that Howard would be dealt in the upcoming weeks and that Orlando would most likely be moving him to his desired location.

The Orlando Magic will still be searching for a team to deal Howard to, as they have grown tired of his antics and his desire to force them into his dream situation. Therefore it is likely they will simply trade Howard to any team that offers them the best package and Howard will have to wait until next summer to decide on a location of his choice.

He not only destroyed his chances of landing in the city he desired, but now he has greatly hurt his value and the Magic will likely have to trade him for a package that will reflect the likelihood of Howard being a one-year rental.

It will be an interesting next few weeks and it seems that Howard will have to find a new star to attempt to align himself with to win a championship. He tried to take the route of not hurting anyone’s feelings in leaving Orlando, but it has played out that he held the city of Orlando hostage and will likely end up playing for a team he has no desire to be on.

All less-than-satisfied stars should take a lesson from Dwight’s situation and avoid following his footsteps at all costs.

I remember being in the car and hearing on the radio last year that Shane Battier signed with the heat and I thought Miami might go undefeated this year.

Battier, by himself, brought the heat several areas of need including help defense and charges, and clutch outside shooting. He was the perfect fit and is the perfect role player.

And I’m a Maryland grad.

Watching the heat last night I got the same empty feeling that I got when Lebron made the decision. That the heat were going to dominate for the next 6 years and the Knicks have to do something to compete. Aside from really being a fan of Carmelo Anthony’s toughness and scoring ability, I was a fan of the trade because it simply had to happen for the sake of competitiveness. Yes, the Knicks buckled and had they stayed patient maybe the Knicks could have waited longer and made more adjustments, but they’d just be starting on the road to compete. At least now they have an idea.

The truth is they are miles away. They need help in so many areas and have limited resources. What’s more is that it’s difficult to assess all the landscaping as we wait on their own version of the decision, but what’s troubling is that they let the opportunity of a championship coach and subsequent Battier-type veterans come here and plug in holes. Free agents would have come here to play for less with the chance to win with Phil Jackson and company. It would have added so much juice to the rivalry.

Lebron James was absolutely brilliant this post season. He was focused, his weaknesses were minimal and he simply dominated every game in a way that few have in the history of the game. He is a different player. He’s the player everyone who criticizes him thought he should be.

Can the Knicks compete with Miami next year? We will find out based on what roster changes are made this summer but the fact is they better upgrade fast and get on the same page. Right now they have a Mike D’Antoni built roster and a coach who wants to utilize and run the offense through Anthony. Carmelo absolutely deserves the opportunity to have his type of players surrounding him. D’Antoni got 3.5 years.

They better figure it out soon though as one thing is for certain…the heat aren’t going anywhere for a long time.

Lebron James and the Miami Heat are the 2012 NBA champions. Lebron James has answered many of his critics by winning a ring and earning the NBA Finals MVP award in the process. He was brilliant throughout the entire 2012 NBA playoffs, leading the Miami Heat to their second NBA title in franchise history.

Lebron James is one of the world’s best athletes, but he’s also one of the most hated, which isn’t a bad thing for the NBA.

Lebron garnered tons of media and fan attention prior to “The Decision,” but it was nothing compared to the circus that came after he decided to play for Miami.

Basketball fans and the media have been highly critical of Lebron’s decision and his performance over the last two years. Whether justified or not, one thing is for certain: Lebron James has been the centre of attention in the sports world for some time and that’s been great for the NBA.

From hardcore, lifetime basketball fans, to those who don’t know the difference between a free throw and a jump ball, everyone became aware of Lebron James’ story. That is, the story of one man’s search for greatness, for eternal glory, for that elusive NBA championship.

Casual basketball fans were drawn in by Lebron saga. These fans have watched games, media coverage and talked basketball, when they otherwise wouldn’t have.

Many of these fans tuned in to root against Lebron, while members of the media depended on Lebron losing so they could keep writing stories about how he would never live up to the hype, never prove to be clutch and never win it all.

So with Lebron winning an NBA championship with the Heat, it’s possible that many of these fans won’t watch as much basketball and the media won’t have quiet as much to talk about. Winning a championship should put an end to a lot of the criticism and silence some of the “haters.” After all, the biggest knock on Lebron was that he hadn’t won a title.

However, on the flip side, it’s possible that one championship won’t be enough to satisfy the media or basketball fans. The Lebron bashing could continue with many arguing that Lebron only has one ring, while Jordan has six and Kobe has five.

Perhaps the Miami Heat will become the New York Yankees of the NBA, with people watching year after year, hoping to see them fail.

Could Lebron and the Heat’s championship hurt the NBA?  It’s possible. Look at it this way, would you rather watch Lebron and the Heat attempt to defend a championship, or attempt to win their first title in their third year together?

Ultimately it will come down to the fans and to some extent, the media. There will always be those who choose to root against Lebron, while others will change their opinion of him now that he’s won a title.

We will find out next season if Lebron and the Heat can continue to capture the attention of casual fans and the media, as they have in the past two seasons.

Lebron James lead the Miami Heat to their second NBA Championship Thursday night. The championship basketball game was played late into the evening, but ended with an overwhelming 121-106 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The win came as little surprise to many sports fans. After the Thunder’s win in game one, Lebron and the Miami Heat took charge of the series and refused to give another inch. For the next couple weeks, the story of the Miami Heat and the NBA Championship will center on Lebron James and his prominent tag team partners Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. …
