GREENBURGH — New York Knicks point guard Jason Kidd will miss Friday’s game against the Washington Wizards due to lower back spasms.

Kidd has missed three games due to the ailment.

He said on Friday that he underwent an MRI which returned positive results and he hopes to return sometime next week on the Knicks’ three-game road trip, starting Wednesday in Charlotte. The Knicks play at Miami on Thursday and on the road against the Bulls next Saturday.

WHAT IT MEANS: The Knicks lost Round 1 of the East River Rivalry on Monday night, in excruciating fashion.

They fell short in overtime in their first trip to Brooklyn, and also lost two starters to injury.

Ronnie Brewer left the game in the fourth quarter with a dislocated left ring finger, and Jason Kidd was unavailable due to lower back spasms. The severity of the injuries is unknown at this point.

As for the game, the Nets outscored the Knicks 12-5 in overtime.

HOUSTON — When it comes to Jeremy Lin, the Knicks have moved on.

“My thing is this: It was a good run, but we went in a different direction. We went out, we fielded guys like (Jason) Kidd and Raymond (Felton) and Pablo (Prigioni), guys we felt can help us and they’ve been great for us,” head coach Mike Woodson said on Friday.

“The Jeremy Lin thing is behind us and we’ve moved on in another direction. We wish Jeremy nothing but the best here in Houston, until he plays us.
