Tyson Chandler is the first NBA player to represent Fuse Science. The Olympian joins Tiger Woods, as well as MLB stars David Ortiz and Jose Bautista, on the client roster.

Chandler is endorsing Fuse Science’s Enerjel product, designed to help address site-specific muscle fatigue, while simultaneously helping an athlete feel energized. He’s also associated with the upcoming PowerFuse and ElectroFuse products.

If you’re a Knicks fan, it’s hard to ignore the gapping hole that the team has at the power forward position after Amar’e Stoudemire. Many hoped that New York would chase Kenyon Martin, after missing out on him last February, but it appears that isn’t likely.

According to Jared Zwerling of ESPNNewYork.com, sources have expressed that Martin will not take the veteran’s minimum salary—which is a little north of a million dollars.

This is a big hit to New York, as Martin was probably the best fit for the Knickerbockers. He’s considered an intimidating and very physical forward. However, there are still a few options that should be mentioned.

While it seemed like a long shot, it appears that Josh Howard still has the Knicks on his list of teams in consideration. Marc J. Spears of Yahoo tweeted that Howard was close to making a decision between five teams. It would be surprising if Howard chose to take his talents to NY, as other teams can offer him more money and possibly a starting role.

The more likely backup plan for GM Glen Grunwald should be Andray Blatche, and Jared Zwerling gave good reasoning behind this.

Andray Blatche, who got amnestied and will still make $$ from Washington, could be more open to the veteran’s minimum.

With Washington still paying off Blatche, he’s got nothing to lose and everything to gain by playing in Madison Square Garden.

Also worth a mention—and not a bad fit for the Knicks either—are Louis Amundson and Anthony Tolliver. While there has been no mention of New York looking into these options, both players can provide a big body making it difficult to penetrate the basket and they can score from down low.

With Amar’e being injury prone, a quality backup is necessary, and who knows how valuable they may become to this Knicks’ team.

If you thought the first day of free agency was interesting—wait till you see teams scrambling to pick up the last quality players at a given position.

Hopefully, New York gets the cream of the crop of what’s left.

With Iman Shumpert missing significant time, the Knicks need someone capable of locking down the shooting guard position. Someone who is not afraid of getting hit on a drive to the basket, but someone who could hit the open look as well.

I do have a gut feeling the Knicks will re-sign J.R. Smith, but history shows us that Smith is better off the bench than he is in the starting rotation. With that being said, I think the Knicks might be on the hunt for someone.

Jared Zwerling of ESPN New York tweeted to his followers, “#Knicks could be in the hunt for O.J. Mayo or Randy Foye to add depth to their shooting guard position.”

Either of these two would certainly be embraced by New York—I know I would welcome either with open arms.

O.J. Mayo had a solid season last year with the Memphis Grizzlies. Coming off the bench, he averaged 12.6 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game. While the numbers aren’t great, they are respectable, especially for a bench player. Mayo is most certainly better than some starters out there, so expect him to garnish a lot of attention.

His career averages suggest that he would be a great 2-guard for New York—shooting 43 percent from the field in 301 games. With a career average of 15.2 points per game, if the price is right, I could see the Knicks making Mayo an offer.

Randy Foye is the shooting guard who I believe will help New York the most. During the 2011-12 season, per 36 minutes of playing time, Foye was productive—averaging 15.2 points and 3.1 assists.

He’s a 6’4″ shooting guard who can do it all—slash, pass and shoot—and if he’s truly willing to take the mid-level exception, Foye is a bargain!

Many fans remember the night Foye exploded for 28 points against the Knicks, and although the Clippers lost that game, Foye looked promising and his stock increased…especially for those looking to sign him.

Either way, it would be nice to see either one of these guys playing for the Knicks next season.

On July 1, the New York Knicks will likely attempt to build a contender by adding to their roster via free agency. While we all know that the likely candidate to receive the first call will be Steve Nash, there are other valuable free agents out there who can contribute to the Knicks

As per Jared Zwerling of ESPNNewYork.com, Randy Foye is interested in calling New York home next season. Per 36 minutes of playing time, Foye averaged 15.2 points with 3.1 assists in 2011-12. This past season against the Knicks he contributed 28 points in a Clippers loss at Madison Square Garden.

A source close to Foye said the unrestricted free agent lists the Knicks atop of his list of preferred destinations. Zwerling writes, “Foye is interested in the Knicks and their mid-level exception of $3 million.” Rumors state Ray Allen and the Heat are mutually interested in each other—as per ESPNBoston.com—so Foye may be the next-best addition for the Knicks if they’re looking for a shooter.

After the All-Star break, sharpshooting Foye led the NBA for most three-pointers made with 87, edging out New York’s Steve Novak by two makes. These two players have great scoring ability, which should increase the Knicks’ average of 96 points per game.

With Iman Shumpert out for some time and Landry Fields struggling, Foye could be an answer to the enigma of Knicks scoring from someone other than Carmelo Anthony.

On the night of Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Tyson Chandler appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to participate in an NBA edition of the late-night TV show’s “Skype Scavenger Hunt” segment.

Chandler, who was in his house in Calabasas, Calif., went head-to-head with Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics in a challenge that required them to find items around their house in the fastest amount of time.
