Former Duke All-American Christian Laettner has been hired as assistant coach of the Fort Wayne (Ind.) Mad Ants. The NBA Development League team said Friday it had hired 42-year-old Laettner and he will be working full time with head coach Steve Gansey. The team says Laettner joined the Mad Ants in Sioux Falls and would be on the bench for Friday night’s game against the Skyforce.
