The NBA playoffs are looming right around the corner. For Golden State Warrior fans, that means only one thing: find another team to root for in April.
Warrior fan’s hearts must be divided. However, this is familiar territory for fans of one of the worst franchise droughts in recent sports history. Come April, having the Warriors forfeit the rest of the games to receive their own pick come June would be better than having them win any of the remaining games. Depressing for a team playing in one of the largest markets in America with some of the most loyal fans any sports team has to offer.
On a positive note, we can all be thankful that there’s no NBA lockout pending this summer. This means Mark Jackson and his team can get a full offseason to install his defensive mentality.
For now, the times are bleak. Warrior fans will just have to wait to start watching a winning team.
Here are five reasons why Warrior fans need to be a little more patience, although waiting shouldn’t be anything out of the ordinary though, as fans have waited for what seems like decades for something to root for.
